These small snails are no harm to most macroalgae and will routinely scavenge for microalgae such as hair algae in aquariums. Their (very) small size allows them to scale and clean even the most delicate of macroalgae species. They range in color from orange, yellow, black, white, and a mixture.

*Disclaimer: while we personally have never had dove snails do sufficient damage to macroalgae species, there is always a chance of snails taking a liking to a particular macroalgae.
