Sailor’s Eyeball Macroalgae | Valonia ventricosa

Sailor’s Eyeball algae are large, spherical algae that resemble glass beads. They are one of the largest single-celled organisms on earth, and can grow to the size of a baseball. Specimens are typically .5-2” across. It is not invasive like Valonia macrophysa which is a common pest in reef tanks.
