The Red Striped Pygmy Goby (Trimma striatum) is an exceptionally small, peaceful reef goby well suited to nano and pico aquariums. Its tiny size and subtle coloration make it an interesting addition to established reef & macroalgae systems, where it can often be seen perching on rockwork or hovering close to sheltered areas.

Provide a well-established aquarium with plenty of live rock, crevices, and sheltered areas for this tiny goby to explore and retreat into. Due to its very small size, Trimma striatum should be housed with similarly peaceful tankmates and may be vulnerable to larger or predatory fish. Offer small foods such as copepods, enriched baby brine shrimp, finely chopped mysis, and other appropriately sized frozen or prepared foods. Its minimal space requirements and reef-safe nature make it an excellent inhabitant for mature nano or pico reef/macroalgae aquariums.
