The Purple Veiny Sponge is a beautiful species of sea sponge that compliments macroalgae very well. It features purple/red/orange coloration in an oval-like growth pattern, and is fairly hardy for a sea sponge. It has an intricate pattern, mimicking veins, hence its name. These are filter-feeding animals and should be target fed phytoplankton and other food geared towards filter-feeding animals.
