These small snails are no harm to most macroalgae and will routinely scavenge for microalgae such as hair algae in aquariums. Their (very, very) small size allows them to scale and clean even the most delicate of macroalgae species, and they also breed very quickly. 

*These are the absolute smallest snails we carry, only maxing out at a few centimeters long. We would only recommend these snails for nano aquariums due to their small size.

*Disclaimer: while we personally have never had our snails do sufficient damage to macroalgae species, there is always a chance of snails taking a liking to a particular macroalgae. These snails may cause minor damage to some soft/thin macroalgae species in the process of cleaning. MosaicMacros is never responsible for damage to algae by dove snails.
