These mid-sized snails are no harm to most macroalgae and will routinely scavenge for microalgae such as hair algae in aquariums. These cerith snails may be covered in Staghorn Coralline, Laurencia, Batophora, sponges, and other species of algae. Laurencia iridescens & Batophora are most common. They’re like tiny living macroalgae clusters - and are a favorite of ours in displays! Snails will be .5-2” in length.
