These small snails are no harm to most macroalgae and will routinely scavenge for microalgae such as hair algae in aquariums. Their (very) small size allows them to scale and clean even the most delicate of macroalgae species. They are larger than standard dove snails, though still small. 

*Disclaimer: while we personally have never had dove snails do sufficient damage to macroalgae species, there is always a chance of snails taking a liking to a particular macroalgae. Dove snails may cause minor damage to some soft/thin macroalgae species in the process of cleaning. MosaicMacros is never responsible for damage to algae by dove snails.
