Tropical Jointed Coralline Macroalgae | Coralline sp.

Jointed Coralline is an attractive red macroalgae that grows in calcareous, segmented sections. It sports purple branches and is very heavily calcified. This species is generally safe with almost any fish and invertebrate due to its heavily calcified nature, with the exception of sea urchins. This is a tropical species from the Indo-Pacific region, not to be confused with temperate jointed Coralline.
