Coelothrix irregularis is an attractive reddish-purple macroalgae with bluish-green iridescent tips that grows in a wire-like clump, similar to Chaetomorpha. This species sports a gorgeous, deep purple coloration under full-spectrum lighting and will develop the blue iridescence depending on how the algae is viewed.
