The Dwarf Red Hermit is a very small species of hermit crab native to Hawaii. They will not harm most complex macroalgae, and are a staple cleanup crew member in our displays. They are rare, and are the smallest hermits we offer. They are super cute & will scurry around a display quickly - lots of personality with these guys!

Caution: May consume Cymopolia barbata and other small calcareous macroalgae.

*Disclaimer: while we personally have never had our hermit crabs do sufficient damage to most macroalgae species, there is always a chance of hermit crabs taking a liking to a particular macroalgae.
