The Cherub Angelfish (Centropyge argi), also known as the Pygmy Angelfish, is a small but bold Caribbean angelfish featuring a deep blue body with a vibrant yellow-orange face and chest. Despite being one of the smallest marine angelfish, Cherubs have plenty of personality and can be surprisingly assertive for their size.

Provide plenty of established live rock with caves, crevices, and areas for grazing. Cherub Angelfish should be offered a varied diet including marine algae, spirulina-based foods, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis shrimp, and other small meaty foods. While frequently maintained in reef aquariums, they are considered reef safe with caution, as individuals may nip at macroalgae, fleshy corals, zoanthids, or clam mantles. Their compact size, vivid coloration, and outgoing personality make them an excellent centerpiece fish for appropriately sized marine aquariums.
